Data Centre Floor – The Specialists you Need

Data Center Floor including ventilation grills
Data Centre Floor ventilation action diagram

You need a specialist when you are planning a data centre floor. Someone who can advise and deliver the right flooring. At Bathgate we both understand and will respond to your critical time schedules.

A Data Centre Floor requires high air flow capability, high loading performance and high levels of accessibility among other performance requirements

High Air Flow Capability

This is delivered via specifically created directional floor grilles. Hot and cold air differentiation, when coupled with aisle containment systems, provide better management and control of equipment inlet temperatures. This improves the data centre energy efficiency.

High Loading Capability

This is a specification requirement and a necessity. A fully loaded equipment rack applies considerable loads to the floor. Other equipment such as UPS systems are considerably heavier with some Super Computers weigh in around 4000kg. We can specify the right system to manage this weight.

Future Scalability

Our system is modular by design which means you can rearrange tiles or swap them as required. This is perfect for scalability as it allows you to add more servers. You can then add ventilation points strategically to increase airflow in response to higher heat densities without the need to build new cooling infrastructure.

Adaptability and Flexibility

Modular raised flooring offers enhanced flexibility and adaptability. You have complete control over the data centres set up and can adjust tiles to maintain cooling as required.

Accessibility

Bathgate data centre raised access floors not only provide all of these requirements but are specified and manufactured here in the UK and supplied with our manufacturers warranty and certification.

The access requirement is considerably increased in a data centre due to the huge number of IT, Power and communication cabling. Our range of pedestals will create a suitable working height for your technicians where full access is required.

We can guide you through the choices of floor finish which are available so that you chose something with the right level of anti-static properties and still looks good.
