Access Flooring is built to last and Bathgate Flooring offer a warranty of 25 years on PSA/BSEN panels and 50 years on pedestals. So there will come a time when your panels need replacing and the most economic way is to replace the panel and keep the pedestal grid for another 25 years.
Successful Raised Access Refurbishment requires a practical approach. You need a manufacturer who will create a bespoke panel as well as an installation specialist who has the experience to work with the older systems.
Today there is an industry standard of panels build to dimensions of 600 x 600, however, in the past these dimensions varied by manufacturer. Naturally as time goes on some of these manufacturers are no longer in business. If you cant replace panels the same size as your pedestal grid then the refurbishment costs can increase dramatically. A straightforward maintenance task can become a lot more disruptive, time consuming and costly.
